Call for participation (21-06-2004)

On 21-06-2004 EGC2005 did release a call for:

  • Papers in the Scientific Track
  • Proposals for Industrial Events
  • Proposals for Special Events

1. Scientific Track

You are invited to submit original, unpublished scientific papers. Papers will be peer reviewed. If accepted, your paper will be selected for oral - or poster presentation. All accepted papers will be published in LNCS. To submit a paper please use the web-based submission engine.

2. Industrial Track

The event will be centered around Grid Challenges for specific industrial and commercial sectors. We are considering Financial; Oil and Gas, Automotive; and Life Sciences, but open to other suggestions. We are looking for a mix of presentations and live demonstrations. You are invited to propose contributions or complete events that report on experiences with the deployment of Grid computing in industrial and commercial environments. A typical sector focused Grid Challenge event will run for half a day or one full day. Please submit your proposal, with sufficient detail, to the coordinator of the Industrial Track ad@enterthegrid.com .

Your proposal will be judged by the Industrial Committee of EGC. (In addition, you can choose to also submit your paper to the scientific review process for inclusion in the proceedings. Please indicate on submission.)

3. Special Events Track

You are invited to propose special events that describe results and work in progress in Grid projects. Emphasis should be on live demonstrations, showing Grids in action. A typical event would run for half a day or one full day. Please submit your propasal, with sufficient detail, to the coordinator of the Special Events Track, L. Bos, egcspecial@mc-consultancy.com .

Your proposal will be judged by the Special Events Committee of EGC.

Paper submission

Submitted papers will be subjected to a peer review. After acceptation they will be published in a volume of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Submitted papers must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules of LNCS, For formatting information see LNCS , For formatting information see Information for LNCS Authors .

They must not exceed 10 pages in length in the LNCS format. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. PostScript or pdf and source versions of your paper must be submitted electronically through the paper submission system
